Fall Table

Urns and outdoor containers are great ways to display your favorite fall finds and make a big statement with little effort. Purchase pumpkins that are uniform in shape and are just slightly larger than the container you wish to use for display. Scatter differing varieties of gourds at the base, and run just a small…Continue Reading “Eerie Urn” →

Fall Table

Naturals are most certainly a fall necessity and this autumnal tablescape delivers. A mossy, fallen branch running the length of the table is laden with bounties of the season. Bright, bold dogwood leaves are casually arranged in an earthenware crock and drop leaves as if in the natural world. Cut a simple, grapevine wreath into…Continue Reading “Booful Bounty” →

Wooden Tool Boxes

Simple tool boxes crafted from wood scraps are a great multi-functional object to add to your home. I discovered this first hand when I recently moved into my newly renovated, drawerless kitchen. Purposefully void of drawers in keeping with a slightly industrial feel, the only thing my kitchen lacked was a place for silverware. Cue the…Continue Reading “Wooden Tool Boxes” →

Labor Day

Ahhhhh Labor Day. The unofficial, but official holiday that signals an end to summer and ushers in the boldly colored leaves and cooler temps of fall. Labor Day to me is a little bittersweet. Part of me yearns for fall but still wants to hang on to those airy, bright days of summer. Luckily there…Continue Reading “Labor Day Decor” →

Peach and Lavender Popsicles

Popsicles are like the undisputed symbol of summer and all things deliciously frozen. Cool off this summer by skipping the artificially flavored grocery store varieties and make them at home. Any number of combinations can be imagined using the in-season fruits of the hot months. But my all time favorite is juicy peach with just…Continue Reading “Peach & Lavender Popsicles” →

Quench your thirst on July 4th by mixing up a bit of nostalgic Americana with a twist. Store bought lemonade gets an upgrade by adding frozen blueberries, a generous amount of vodka and just a bit of basil. Serve up in a glass milk bottle with a festive straw. Pairs well with a fabulous…Continue Reading “Vodka Lemonade” →
