Bloody Marys are a staple during casual Sunday brunches, Monday mornings, and of course, the holidays. Gather your guests and pour up a twist on tradition by shaking together a Bloody Merry using a smoky tequila called Mezcal.
RECIPE: BLOODY MERRY
INGREDIENTS: makes one cocktail
2 ounces Mezcal
4 ounces tomato juice
1-ounce lime juice
2 dashes Worchestshire sauce
Pinch of celery salt
Pinch of ground pepper
1 dash of hot sauce
Horseradish to taste, optional
Olives, celery stalk, pickled okra, pickled pepper, & rosemary stem for garnish
Lime wedge for garnish
1. Combine the liquid ingredients in a shaker with ice cubes. Shake well until the outside of the shaker is frosted and cold to the touch.
2. Pour into a highball glass over ice. Adjust seasonings to taste.
